We had a fabulous time in Bruges which was rounded off by the tour with Nathan. He was very engaging and made the tour reflective and thought provoking. He obviously has a wealth of knowledge. He left us to wander round the various sights and musuems having first given us detailed information which made us appreciate even more what we saw. Highly recommended.

We took the day tour with Nathan in his brand new mini bus. He was very entertaining and clearly has a passion and considerable knowledge of the area and WW1. Along with all of the famous points of interest he also took us to some lesser known sites and points of interest. It would have taken me months of home research to complete a day like this. Considering that the admission price to two large museums, and a decent lunch were included in the tour price, this was excellent value for money. Highly enjoyable and recommended.

Thank you Nathan for a brilliant Battlefield Day Tour on 16th February. Your knowledge of the area and history is second to none! It was great to experience the trenches, dug outs and the visits to the Passchendaele Museum and Flanders Fields Museum. And even a souvenir of the day! I would highly recommend this tour!

This was a really worthwhile tour. Nathan is very knowledgeable about the War and the local area and provides the kind of information and insight that you could not get from trying to organise a visit off your own back. Excellent day - thanks Nathan!

We had been wanting to do a tour of WW1 battlefields for some time but it never really worked out right to get one of the UK based packages to do this at a time that suited us.
This led to a bit of internet research where we found this tour on the visitbruges.org website. It seemed to cover the things we wanted to visit and was a decent price so we decided to book it and make our own way to Bruges for a long weekend to include this tour.
Nathan picked us up promptly at the arranged time and after picking up the rest of the small tour party around the city we were on our way towards Ypres and straight into our tour.
As someone who grew up in the area, Nathan is a fountain of detailed knowledge on local history, WW1, its causes and motivations and many more things besides. As someone who has read up extensively on this period I learned a few new things myself, especially about the context of the war in this area. Nathan is a natural storyteller with a wealth of life experiences around the world and is very interesting company, which made the tour both informative and entertaining.
We visited the “usual” sites and a few more things besides, which I doubt we would have seen had we tried to do this all ourselves out of a guide book and we certainly wouldn’t have got the wealth of background information.
As a couple who have taken a large number of guided tours all around the world this one is one of the very best that we have taken. It was very good value for money and we would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and relatives thinking of visiting this area.
