Nathan is an encyclopaedia of WWI. His depth of knowledge is fascinating and he conveys the events of 100 years ago brilliantly and poignantly.

We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day and were really comfortable in his van, visiting humbling sites and museums that he leaves you to take in for yourself.

I would, and already have, urged many friends and family to take Nathan’s tour as it is about as real as it gets when trying to fathom the tragic events that scarred Flanders Fields and many a nation too.

You can’t visit Bruges without penciling in a day on this tour and respecting what took place on those fields.

After seeing London Scottish memorial at Messines, I got ”The London Scottish in the Great War” edited by Lt Col JH Lindsay. Grandad did not speak about the three battalions. First in Flanders (first TA there), second in Salonica etc and third recruiting etc in London. Over 5,000 killed from one regiment. The generals said ”well done” after each trauma! Thanks again

Very interesting and worthwhile. Picked up from the hotel with lunch provided and delivered back to the Hotel. Nathan knows his facts about the various battles and the war. We had a request to visit a different cemetery and this request was agreed. To walk with Nathan along some of the roads and for him to talk and identify pieces of shrapnel in the ground was great. Highly recommended. The same group is the way to go.

Nathans tour, excellent, a must do. The knowledge he has regarding events during WWI is second to none. Because the group size was small we felt it was more personal unlike larger group tours. Punctual door to door service, lovely lunch. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Belgium/Bruges to take this tour

We were picked up outside our hotel at exactly the time we had been told. Travelling in a comfortable minibus there were 7 of us altogether with Nathan our guide. Nathan spoke perfect English and the commentary began as soon as we set off with an abridged European history talk informing us about the reasons why WW1 was fought. Visiting the important sites like Ypres and Tyne Cot along with smaller yet relevant others the whole day was superb and thought provoking. Entry to all sites is included and Nathan tells some fascinating yet sad stories. Thank you Nathan, oh and a good lunch is included too. Delivered back to our hotel on time, everyone should include this trip as part of there visit to Belgium.
