Myself and my wife did the day tour on Saturday 7th September and would highly recommend it. Nathan was a highly knowledgeable and engaging character who made the day an interesting and fun day out. He arranged for me to see my Great Grandfather’s grave in Brandhoek Cemetery as well as visit St Eloi to see where he was fatally injured. We got to visit numerous cemeteries and even got to handle old WW1 relics such as rusty guns with bullets still in them and hand grenades and shells. He knew all the spots to take us to see mine craters and all the good museums. Thanks Nathan it was a memorable day out.

The tour was fantastic, we travelled as a family of 4 with 2 teenage children. The whole family found it excellent. We visited additional cemetries for other guests on the trip, which made the whole experience very personal.

As a Psychologist working with Veterans of many conflicts I cannot recommend this tour by Nathan more highly. He is a scholar, historian and a gentleman. His passion for the facts and the iimpact and consequences of War on familes is heartfelt. The Last Post Evening Tour has occurred every evening under the Menin Gate since 1928 and it was truely an honour to be present. Thank you so much Nathan for an unforgettable moment. Kind Regards Bernadette and Ian.

Dear Nathan,
I want to thank you for the time we spent with you a week ago. I had visited Belgium with my Grandfather in 1970, but obviously didn’t really know what it was all about. To re-visit with my daughter was an experience neither of us will forget. You tailored your tour to suit our personal interest and quickly we got to see the Memorial to the Seventh Division and saw the town of Zonnebeke where my grandfather was shot and taken prisoner. AS you imparted more information about the horrors of WW1 I couldn’t help thinking if my grandfather hadn’t been shot and wounded when he was it was likely he wouldn’t have survived and three generations of my family wouldn’t have happened, all very hard to comprehend. I could go on, but I just want to thank you for imparting so much information in a kind and friendly manner. We will meet again I’m sure of that.
Take care

Bill & Hannah Fraser
