We took Nathan’s tour on 19 March 2013, and it was an excellent day. we were just a small group, and Nathan was very cooperative in visiting 3 memorials including members of my family that I particularly wanted to visit.

Throughout the trip, Nathan was a mine of information, and he has excellent resources in his vehicle to help answer any questions he can’t answer off the top of his head - and there weren’t many. The standard parts of his tour take you to a well-judged mix of sites, museums, and memorials, and I think it would be impossible to cover so much ground under one’s own steam or in a bigger group tour. The amount of time at various places is well judged too - we didn’t feel hurried.

And Nathan provides excellent service too: quick response to email booking enquiry, spot on time to pick us up from our B&B, providing a good lunch, very clear about when we needed to meet where while letting us get on with what we wanted to do, and getting us back at the expected time too, and a gift WW1 souvenir too.

Thanks Nathan!

We took this tour on the 16/3/2013.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day. Nathan has a real knowledge of WW1 and imparts it in a easy manner that is engaging without being to complex. The stops at each site or museum are well planned and timed and Nathan manages to show ”off the beaten track” details. The lunch in an Ypres restaurant is excellent.

Thank you Nathan for an enjoyable and informative trip.

Excellent tour. Good value. Nathan has a detailed knowledge of the Flanders battlefields. The cold weather and mud made it even more atmospheric. Being in a small group and in a minibus we were able to visit places inaccesible by coach. It was a very moving experience to visit places where our relatives fought and died.

Excellent trip. Even on a cold and snowy day (added to the atmosphere) this was an unmissable trip. Nathan has a detailed knowledge which engages you in the whole experience. Being there is the onlly way to fully appreciate the significance and scale of the events. Thanks, Nathan.

Took the full day tour with Nathan on 16th February. My first visit and also my birthday. Nathan was the most informative guide you could wish for and a very pleasant companion for the day.

I managed to locate an entry on the memorial at Tyne Cot for a second cousin who served with the Devonshire’s and was lost at Passchendaele.

A very humbling and unforgettable experience
