Took the full day tour with Nathan on 16th February. My first visit and also my birthday. Nathan was the most informative guide you could wish for and a very pleasant companion for the day.

I managed to locate an entry on the memorial at Tyne Cot for a second cousin who served with the Devonshire’s and was lost at Passchendaele.

A very humbling and unforgettable experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Nathan. He has so much information to share (how does he remember all those facts and numbers?) and can answer any WWI question you can think of. Day was well-paced, and we enjoyed the personal attention in the small group setting. The ”real” lunch was great, and provided a chance to get to know other group members and reflect on what we’d seen so far. This is definitely a tour we’d recommend!

On our visit to Bruge we done a trip to the War Graves, mainly because I wanted to visit my Great Uncle’s grave at Mesin Ridge. We were put intouch with Nathan through our hotel. (With the help of Natham we managed to find my Uncles grave.)

We highly recommend Nathan, the knowledge he had on the WW1 and the events leading up to it was amazing.

This is a trip you have to do with a guide. It would be inpossible to do by yourself, you would miss too much.

Thank you Nathan for the tour it was fantastic.

Nathan’s tours are superior to any others we’ve ever experienced. We did the Last Post evening tour and the Flanders Fields tour the following day. Nathan’s knowledge of World War I is astonishing and absolutely comprehensive. My husband and I usually prefer to do this kind of traveling on our own but we soon realized that had we tried to do this in Flanders, we would have missed a great deal. Nathan is inexhaustible in many ways, including his patience while answering questions. Both tours were extremely well-organized and covered the territory efficiently and thoroughly. Nathan’s passion for his subject brought our little group of strangers into a cohesive whole very quickly. But he was also discreet in the ways in which he respected the privacy of those looking for specific sites associated with family history and even tombstones of family members. We will do both tours again some day--but only with Nathan.
