My mother and I had a wonderful day, visiting many sites we heven’t seen before. It was pleasure to be driven by Nathan and his knowledge was absolutely wonderful - it has made our visit.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to

Mr Nathan Ghysbrecht for the excellent tour

he provided for myself and several others on August 15th,

his knowledge of events that happened so long ago

astounded myself and the others in the tour group

, the details and dates of various battles that took place

around Flanders were explained to us in a very infomative

manner, I was particularly interested in all the old

munitions he showed us that are still being found .

The way the Cemeteries were being so carefully

looked after was very moving and impressive, the whole day

was time well spent. I canít use the word enjoyable

for obvious reasons but Nathan is to be commended

for looking after us so well and I hope he keeps up

the good work, thank you again kind regards.

Being Australian in Flanders Fields with a guide such as Nathan showed us the real sites & shared the history behind Australia’s involvement in the Great War, something we’ve only read in books - thus it was a real privilege to see it first hand under the guidance of a professional like Nathan.

It is a long day (8:45am pick up - 5:00pm drop off) though Nathan is sharp with information & stories all day to keep you engaged, thinking about the sheer enormity & cost of the conflict. We had plenty of questions too, all of which were answered by a man who really knows his history.

The small tour size (8) was a real pleasure, lunch was included & the black & red poppy van had us from site to site in comfort. I liked the approach of taking us to a site, sharing information with the group, taking questions & then letting us explore the site ourselves - in places †like Tyne Cot and the Flanders Museum in Ypres this worked brilliantly.

Whether you know your WW1 history or are keen to begin learning what happened in this tiny corner of western Europe, Nathan is the man to go with. He’ll even open the door for you (every time we got out of the van - top notch chivalry right there!) & leave you with a real battlefield souvenir from the Fields. Highly recommended for everyone when they’re in Belgium!
