We undertook both the full day tour and the last post on 5th May 2011 with Nathan and were very impressed with his knowledge and efficiency. My grandfather was at Iper during WW1 and we were able to visit the areas where his regiment had fought, and to pay tribute to his fallen comrades. The whole experience was very moving and one we shall never forget. Many thanks to Nathan for his help in this. We would definatley recommend both of these tours.

We chose this trip before we left home because of the small

van because of limited mobility of one of the four of us,

and we were thrilled with the day Nathan provided for us.

We had tried to find our way to some cemeteries on our own

on an earlier trip and found it frustrating.

Nathan efficiently escorted us to several cemeteries,

two great museums at Paschendale and Ipres, as well

as reconstructed trenches and craters hidden down small

countryside lanes. His running historical commentary made

the stalemate of the Ipres Salient comprehensible for us,

and his experience as an artifact hunter was impressive.

Very reasonably priced. Do not miss this.

What a brillient tour. We were part of a group of 7 people ( Australians and British) on 8th May 2011 with Nathan as the lead. Collected from our hotel on time (8.45) and travelled in a comfortable 8 seater. Nathan’s knowledge and ability to bring the history to life were truly amazing. During the journeys and at each stop he placed the events in context, both date and events leading up to it and following. Not only does he have an excellent knowledge but he can explain it so well. The tour includes some of the large sites but also ones off the ’main track’ amongst trees to illustrate the events and consequences.
Nathan was recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. We strongly recommend this day trip.

Thank you so much for a great tour. Your immense knowledge has ignited my interest in World War One. A first class guide and a genuine warmth for people.
