We went on the Battlefields tour with Nathan on 24/03/10 and had a wonderful day. It was a very moving and thought provoking day. We were well looked after and had a lovely lunch in Ypres. Don’t hesitate to book this fab day with Nathan his knowledge of WW1 is second to none.

This is absolutely well worth the money! Nathan doesn’t just know a million things about WWI, he knows about a billion things about history, from all times AND areas - a real history buff. Not only that, his background (we’ll let you find out yourselves) allows him to give viisitors an amazing and unique view of the world at that time.

We did both the day Flanders Fields tour as well as the Last Post Evening tour and cannot think of a better way to learn about Ieper and WWI.

We highly recommend Nathan’s tours to anyone and everyone!

On a previous visit to Bruges with a tour company we went on their organised coach tour visiting Ypres as part of the holiday package. It was a worthwhile experience, which we enjoyed, but on our return to Bruges this time we decided to try the Flanders Fields Daytour and were very pleased that we did. It is well worth the money. Nathan is a native of the area and knows it intimately. He has a wealth of knowledge of the events of the Great War which he is able to impart with freshness and enthusiasm. His tour is extremely well organised, from the minute you are collected from the door of your hotel. Museum entry tickets and a very satisfactory lunch with drinks and coffee are included in the price, so there are no extras to pay. Nathan will take you to numerous spots that the big tour coaches cannot reach and you will be given a very clear idea of how the war in this region was fought and how the conflict progressed, from the perspective of both sides. Anyone with an interest in WW1 would surely enjoy this tour. Highly recommended.

I attended the tour on 18 March 2010 and it was time very well spent. The visits to the battlesites, memorials, and museums along with the explanations during the drive in the countryside really explained and gave a clearer understanding of the history in the area. Very moving and informative.
