Yesterday we went on the Flanders Fields tour with Nathan. It was clear from the outset that he is immensely knowledgeable and passionate about the subject and was a goldmine of information throughout the day. We visited German and Allied war cemeteries, the museum in Ypres and the Menin Gate as well as various trenches. As we drove through the countryside he explained in detail how, when and where the battles took place and gave us a real understanding of what had happened. It was altogether a memorable and moving experience.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience of visiting the battlefields etc of World War 1 in Flanders.
Having done a lot of family history research recently it was all the more poignant for me, for so many branches of the family had members involved, and not all returned safely. It was especially moving to be able to take a photo of the name of a family member at the Menin Gate memorial.
Nathan’s knowledge was so interesting and informative, and we had just the right amount of time at each place.
Thank you.

Excellent tour performed by an expert guide. Nathan made sure all bases were covered, from lunch, fees, etc, to souvenirs for my son’s school report. The tour itself was much more moving than I could have thought, and has made me realize the grand scale of this sacrifice. I have already recommended this tour to family members.

Thank you again,

Bill from Canada

Visit 04-03-10

The tour was one of the highlights during our visit to Bruges. Nathan was a wonderful host, and had many things to show us and tell us about throughout the day. My reason for the visit was to see my Great-Uncle’s name on the Menin Gate and I left with a much greater understanding of the experiences in the trenches and the severe hardships suffered. A great day, and a tour we would all recommend. Thank you!

Thank you Nathan for bringing this historic part of our history to vivid life. Your depth of knowledge and serious commitment has given me a window into the scale and suffering endured by this generation and has created an interest which will continue, although I knew little about the period previously.
